The Chakobo / Chacobo are an indigenous Amazonian people composed of some 1,000 individuals. They live along the Yata and Alto Ivon rivers in northeastern Bolivia (Provincia Vaca Diez, Departamento del Beni), approximately 80 kilometers south of the town of Riberalta. As for the genetic affiliation of their language, Chakobo belongs to the Southern Branch of the Panoan Family.
